We are excited to offer summer camps, teams and lessons for kids. If you want to introduce your child to cycling in a fun, supportive environment, we have been teaching and coaching young riders since 2004. From their first ride on two wheels to elite level competition, Cycle U coaches know how to teach cycling the right way.

Some of the parents were kind enough to share their thoughts about our Jr and Varsity Teams. Check out the video:
Varsity level is by invite only for those Junior riders fast and focused enough to seek coaching to excel at the local, regional, national or world level. All Varsity candidates must first join the Cycle U junior team for evaluation. Coaching includes regular bike fitting, training plan, testing and 1-1 coaching with head coach Craig Undem. Varsity riders need to be able to maintain 15 mph – 20 mph on flat roads on a road bike and have good racing skills. Separate high-level workout schedule and fee’s apply.
Learn to Ride – private or group lessons
We teach children (and adults, too!) how to ride for the first time on 2 wheels. One of our coaches will work one-on-one with your child, partner or friend to fit their bike and helmet, learn balance skills, and begin pedaling on two wheels in a safe, supportive environment.
Most lessons start with a 30 minute meeting to get the bike and equipment set up correctly and learn the basics of riding and balancing. Then after a week to practice the techniques, we meet again for a final lesson to add the pedals back and perfect the technique of starting and stopping, cornering and riding on 2 wheels.
We teach Learn to Ride lessons year-round out at both West Seattle and Sand Point shops or at a park/playground near you. Cost is $100 for the package of lessons with a 98% success rate, $30 additional for the 2nd rider.
