Lang is currently a Category 1 road racer and has competed in a wide range of endurance sports for over a decade. He has been involved with cycling since the tender age of 5, when his parents first put him on the back of a tandem for weekend breakfast rides. After running track and cross country in high school in college, Lang switched to concentrate on road racing full time in 2005 and joined the Cycle University family as a coach in late 2006.
With a broad base of experience in Junior, Collegiate, and Elite level road racing, Lang holds a BA in Biology from Swarthmore College (2005) and is the resident Cycle U "power guru." Lang has coached cyclists of all ability levels, from fitness and recreational cyclists all the way up to Category 2 road racers. His clients have included state champions and top age-group Ironman finishers.
After seasons with Recycled Cycles/Raleigh and AxleyUSA.com Elite Teams, Lang continues with the Hagens-Berman LLP Elite Cycling Team in 2009 for his second year with the team.
